As a women's historian, I've notice a sea change in recent years. Finding and accessing archival materials pertaining to women and their history has become so much easier. It's also become possible to find ancillary materials like newspapers, magazines, and piece of ephemera that help to fill the gaps when many would-be primary sources have been lost. And it's all because of archivists like Marika Cifor. I truly believe that her work and the work of hundreds of others is ushering in a golden age of women's history that has the potential to help fundamentally shift our ontological understanding of gender relations and women's contributions to our world. I know I sound like an evangelist, but in this regard, I am. Thanks to you both for this insightful and enlightening interview.
helpful perspective, thanks ... shines the light on our footsteps and slippages to date.
This is really informative, thanks!
